When Pierce was 3 years old, it was decided that it was time for him to have a dog of his own. Both John and Cat had working dogs… Pierce needed a stock dog. Options were weighed: the ideal fit would love children, have the intelligence and ability of the working breeds, and could live outdoors or indoors to coincide with busy ranch life and filling the shoes of being a little boy’s best friend.
Corgis are a natural fit for family/ranch life. They will go as far and as long as you travel on horseback… and when you end the day- are happy to snuggle. We have traveled with these dogs all around the country. They are great around horses, with kids and new people, and have personalities like no other. They are easy dogs to own and have taught Pierce a great deal about responsibility and having a relationship with an animal. Pierce raises a litter of puppies each year from our two females (Lainey and Minnie) and money goes directly to his college fund.
In 2019, we welcomed Vet Tech Colleen Wuesthoff to our team to make health recommendations and help Pierce manage email inquiries and wait lists. Colleen is like a sister to our family, and we are thrilled to share the fun with her. Our goal for Pierce’s Corgi program is to responsibly breed high quality dogs with a great temperament that are genetically and conformationally sound.
